COLOR OF JAPAN 2022 OSAKA
The research, exploration, and mysteries of life, architecture, and nature brought Suranga to Japan. Bringing alongside a collection of colorful oil-on-canvas artworks through which he portrays everything he loves about the country. His collection entails the 'Color of Japan,' a delicate artwork highlighting Japan's natural beauty and four exceptional seasons. In addition, Suranga also brings with him artwork centered on Japan's famous TV series Little Girl Ohsin. Besides this, the paintings inspirited by world-famous architect Tadao Ando's vision centered around nothingness, and empty spaces also exist. Suranga has always been fascinated by Ando's architectural style and how his work represents the 'haiku' effect. Moreover, the collection entails 'Kintsugi,' a Japanese pottery art based on the idea all broken things have some use, and no object is ever truly a waste. Above all else, Suranga feels honored to have his work displayed at Osaka Solo Art Exhibition and reach true art enthusiasts in Japan
