Research, exploration, heritage, culture, architecture, and nature brought Suranga to Japan. A nature-loving artist, he believes it is essential to help our planet, architecture, and life to flourish in harmony with nature and make our environments more sustainable and greener.
In the past, life was closer to nature, purer, and significantly more in tune with the universe. However, today, we have lost touch with nature and live programmed lives, disconnected from our innate human values.
Suranga is on a mission to recall the forgotten values, redefine lives and humanity, and help us engage and live in harmony with nature. To realize this dream, the artist visited Japan in 2022 to research Zen Temples and Gardens in UNESCO World Heritage cities Kyoto and Shirakawago. He also held a solo art exhibition, 'Color of Japan,' in Osaka, Japan in 2022.
In the Color of Japan exhibition, Suranga brought a collection of colorful oil-on-canvas artworks, portraying everything he loved about the country, including Kyoto Zen Temples Art and Architecture and Kintsugi Art. The collection also entails the 'Color of Japan,' a delicate artwork highlighting Japan's natural beauty and four seasons.
